The Piano Guys Epic Christmas Nativity Video Released Today!

It’s here! And, it’s SO Beautiful!! The long-anticipated new video from The Piano Guys (which I participated in) released promptly this morning at 8:00 am MST. I tried to get up early enough to see it the moment it released, but after my super long dress rehearsal/performance last night, and late bedtime I didn’t bolt up out of bed until 9:30 am. Then I had to rush to get to my Physical Therapy appointment. So, I finally was able to pull up the video on my cellphone as I was in the waiting room of the Orthopedic center.  I invited the front desk staff to watch it with me. I excitedly told them all about my amazing behind-the-scenes 8-hour filming experience for the Guiness World Record Largest Nativity and Piano Guys Christmas video, in order to capture the perfect shots. I shared how I was not only a herald angel and a glowing angel in the video with my daughter, I am also singing in the angel chorus of the new song, as a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. In short, being a part of this was the best Christmas gift I could ever ask for.

Everyone loved the video. I cried (of course), because I always cry when I’m happy or sad or moved or just feeling anything deeply, and this video makes me feel very deeply. Watching this brings back all the memories of the epic film shoot, the miracle of Daughter A being able to come with me & participate when one year ago she was laying  in a hospital bed in dire straights not knowing if she would ever walk again, the opportunity to personally meet stunningly long list of famously talented, salt-of-the-earth YouTubers, the feelings of incredible joy of being surrounded by so many hundreds of good people of all ages, backgrounds and faiths, all united in one purpose – to share joy and love with the world!

This video truly typifies everything that Christmas is all about. Family, friends, goodness, giving, and most of all the birth, and life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Because of Him, no matter how hard or painful life becomes, everything is going to be OK. Because of Him, life has much more meaning and purpose than what we can see right now. Because of Him, all sorrow can be healed. So, if you are going through a hard time right now, just hang on. Things are going to get better. There are divine beings watching over you. I know that angels are real, miracles do happen and God loves you infinitely.

May you have a blessed and Merry Christmas. May you keep the Spirit of Christmas with you in your heart, all through the year, and share the gift. – MoSop

*P.S. This was a non-denominational inter-faith event which brought people together from all backgrounds. Although many people in the video are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints “Mormons” (hey, it’s Utah), there were people of all faiths represented. So, in answer to a lot of search engine queries bringing a lot of you to this page: No, Peter Hollens is not a Mormon (yet – hehe) 😉 He and his wife Evynne and their darling baby were at the video shoot both days of filming. They’re totally awesome and I got to visit with them and have a photo op.

  1. I know I’ve liked this before, but I just keep watching it over and over again. The Spirit catches me every time. I just can’t speak. I hope you know what I mean. I’m overwhelmed with the Savior’s love for us.
