It’s Christmas Eve! I’m sure that most of you have so many activities planned you may not have a moment to catch your breath. But, in case you do have a few minutes to spare (only 25, to be exact), I’m sharing a lovely little film that I know will be a treat for you to watch. Starring the late and great Jimmy Stewart, with The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, this 1980 made-for-TV special was directed by the Academy Award winning Keith Merrill, and is narrated by Gordon Jump. Actor James (Jimmy) Stewart was a life-long fan of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. He stated that one of his greatest dreams came true during the filming of this Christmas parable, not only to get to be working closely with the Choir, but also be able to actually direct the Choir in one of its scenes!

Mr. Krueger’s Christmas is a very sweet, heartwarming story. It is one of my personal Christmas traditions to watch it each year, so I hope that you will have the chance to do so. May each of you enjoy the sweet message and gift of the healing power of the Christchild, and may you find a way to share that gift with someone else. – MoSop

2014 First Presidency Christmas Message
As we celebrate this Christmas season, our thoughts turn to that sacred event long ago when the Prince of Peace and the Light of the World was born (see Isaiah 9:6). Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, who was “wounded for our transgressions, … and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). He promised: “He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12).
We sincerely pray this Christmastime that the light and testimony of the Savior will come into our hearts, that our lives will reflect His life and attributes, and that people everywhere will accept the blessings of His mercy and grace that are made possible through His atoning sacrifice.
May each of us be blessed during this joyous time of the year, and may we acknowledge with gratitude our Heavenly Father’s incomparable gift to us—His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thanks! I will enjoy it, and I have more time for shorts than features. Is a Mormon Soprano higher or lower than a Mezzo? MERRY CHRISTMAS!

And Merry Christmas to you, too! Sorry I lost touch. I had a minor stroke. But I’m home now, and happy! I’m not 100% yet, but I will be in the Lord’s time! Isn’t He wonderful?!
