My Favorite 4th of July

In July 2015 I was on tour with the Tabernacle Choir in New York City. We had been told we were giving a special concert for Independence Day, but the location was top secret.

On the morning of July 4th, once everyone was loaded onto our ten buses and traveling out of Manhatten the big announcement was made – we were headed to West Point military academy! We would be the Special (secret) Guest performers for a grand celebration in honor of the graduating and incoming cadets – culminating with a fantastic fireworks display.

This entire day, and performing in this concert, remains one of the most wonderful “4th of July” memories of all time. To read all of the details about our entire day at West Point (including a tour, eating in the giant mess hall, and lots of photos) check out this post here.

Our West Point concert was filmed as a TV special, and it is available for you to enjoy. Happy Independence Day week everyone! – Love, Holly
