The popular Christmas carol “Adeste Fideles” is known in the English translation as “O Come, All Ye Faithful“. The original four verses were eventually extended to eight, but it’s rarely performed in entirety due to length. The song has been performed and recorded extensively by many different artists using various musical styles and in many different languages. The English translation is attributed to the Catholic priest Frederick Oakeley.
