A Season For Change

It’s Fall in Utah! My favorite season of the year! Autumn is a time when the earth embraces change. We transition to crisp morning and evening temperatures. We catch the faint scent of chimney smoke and spice in the air. We relish the taste of ripe crunchy apples fresh from the tree. We delight in the myriad of colorful leaves on the trees turning our neighborhoods, mountains and hills into a colorful potpourri of eye candy.

Last Saturday Mr. Mo and I took a run up the canyon near our house, and enjoyed the beautiful colors of this time of year and we were rewarded with the view of the valley below. It made my heart sing to be near the wonders and beauty of nature, and it was a reminder of how blessed we are by the gifts of our loving Heavenly Father.

Just like Autumn leaves can change to beautiful colors, converting our landscapes into rich tapestries, we can also experience a change of heart as we grow a richer testimony of truth, and experience a deeper conversion to the Lord.

“…if ye have experienced aĀ changeĀ of heart, and if ye have felt to sing theĀ songĀ of redeeming love, I would ask,Ā canĀ ye feel so now?”

Alma 5:26

Are you experiencing a change?

There’s no more perfect time and season than now! – MoSop

autumn leaves

This is the autumn of my life
– my old companion by my side.
We face the future with serenity, Surrounded by a loving family.
We watch them grow with quiet pride.
I love this season of my life.

Each season has its own rewards, A little joy, a little pain.
But it is comforting to know that some things never change.

Through all the seasons of my life I’ll put my faith in Jesus Christ.
His love is nurturing, His words are sure,
I feel Him near me when my heart is pure.
He gives me strength to choose the right
In every season of my life

The seasons come, the seasons go,
The world is changing, this I know.
His love will help me reach my destiny,
This sweet assurance lives inside of me.
In every season of my life
I will be led by gospel light.
I’ll put my faith in Jesus Christ.
