I believe Music is the way the angels pray. We can participate in this heavenly communication with God whenever we choose to perform and listen to beautiful, wholesome music. We can join our voices, instruments and souls with all the heavenly hosts! It is a pure form of worship that surpasses all words.
Certainly one cannot possibly be closer to heaven than when surrounded by beautiful music. I LOVE the purity of the beautiful hymn “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing“. I particularly love Mack Wilberg‘s stunning arrangement for The Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It is one of my favorite pieces. Whenever I get to hear or sing this song, it brings happy tears to my eyes. My soul is filled with peace and joy, as my own musical prayer rises to heaven.
