I am thrilled to share the newest song by Melanie and Roger Hoffman with the debut of its music video! The Song “He is Coming!” is from the Hoffman’s upcoming album “He Is Coming: New Songs for A New Time” which will release in October 2014! [pre-order here] I was honored to collaborate with the Hoffman’s to create the video for this launch. “He Is Coming” is a truly remarkable and beautiful piece of music. Completely unplanned, the inspired song was written and timed to release in tandem with Elder David A. Bednar’s groundbreaking talk at BYU Education Week [which I blogged about here]. Elder Bednar spoke about our “distinctive dispensation” we are now living in, and he stated;
“A technology known as social media is evolving in our day and playing an increasingly important role in hastening the work of salvation. . .
I exhort you to sweep the earth with messages filled with righteousness and truth—messages that are authentic, edifying, and praiseworthy—and literally to sweep the earth as with a flood.”

This new song arrived in my email box on Tuesday August 19, 2014 at the exact same moment I was listening to Elder Bednar deliver his LIVE streaming speech. When I read the lyrics and listened to the melody I got chills! The song begins with “the flood” that Elder Bednar just proclaimed.

Here was the perfect musical response to that day’s prophetic message! What a testament it is to me how the Lord will work through each of us to send His messages across the earth. This new song now stands as another witness that it is time to use our voices and talents as Elder Bednar urged, to “positively impact large numbers of individuals and families“, sharing those messages of “righteousness and truth” using social media, to flood the earth with the Good News!
