Day 11: Giving thanks for Nature
I am a child of the mountains. My heart longs to be there, and my soul feels peace as soon as I am walking among the trees, streams and rocks of my mountains.
This morning Mr. Mo and I climbed a new trail in Ogden Canyon, which is about a 35 minute drive North from our home. The plan was to make a 5 mile up-and-back. But, it turned into 10 miles, because it was simply so beautiful! The air was crisp and clean, and the sun was shining! We enjoyed the discovery of seeing what the next view would be around the next bend. The grass is yellow and dormant now, but there is a special beauty as the earth prepares for its winter hibernation.
Here are some photos that I snapped as we walked along the trail.
Today I give thanks for mountains, and all of God’s marvelous creations that we get to see and enjoy each day. Every place in this earth has something new and different to offer. And isn’t it all so glorious?! – MoSop
You constantly inspire me! I started reading your posts a couple years ago when I was searching for the music of a primary song. I don’t think I stumbled on your site be accident. Thank you for all you share. You are truly a “Certain Woman.”
