This morning I attended #lds Bountiful temple. I admit, time had flown by and life has been crazy busy and I haven't attended for awhile. I realized the truth of just how long "awhile" really was when I couldn't find my temple bag! 😳 But, I was determined! Finally located buried under a coat in the back corner of my closet! Embarrassing. I was feeling so much anticipation. There's been a lot of "temple chatter" on social media the past week. That added more anticipation. When we were still 4 blocks away the streets were lined with cars. The huge parking lots were filled! Cars were arriving in droves and circling for a space. We lucked out and grabbed one spot in the farthest corner of the parking garage. I've never seen anything like it. Inside the very large dressing room there were no more lockers available! How awesome to have THAT MANY people filling up the House of the Lord to capacity! Well, the temple workers were just so cheerful and resourceful! We changed from our street clothes into our white dresses in private cubicles, and then carried out our clothes and bags to a row of temple worker lockers in the back corner that had been cleared for us. Then off I went to meet my sweetie in the chapel, wondering how long we might have to wait for an endowment session. Sure enough, the chapel was full! But, all those sweet temple workers just kept smiling and finding creative ways to accomodate and fill up every seat in every room. We were soon ushered into an endowment room filled to capacity with all those sweet brothers and sisters wearing beautiful white, peacefully awaiting the session. How exciting!! The endowment session was absolutely beautiful! Yes, there have been modifications. The ceremony is streamlined, lasting only 1 hour 20 minutes (instead of 2 hrs). But, nothing has dininished, in fact, it's deepend in scope. It is extremely profound. I came today seeking peace & answers to questions. I received both! I was reminded how I ALWAYS feel better about life after spending any time in the temple! I'm learning #lineuponline. God is patient. My temple bag is now in a visible place in my house. I will be returning soon to the temple, and regularly!

11 years ago today all of THIS began, and my life was swept up in an incredible whirlwind. #tabchoir Time has literally flown by. Really weird. I honestly don't even know how ELEVEN years could possibly have disappeared this fast!!🙀 Tonight, 30+ new members experienced their very own "beginning" at the Tabernacle. They have no idea what they've gotten themselves into! 😁 But, I am thrilled for their adventure and all of the joys, sorrows, friendships, burdens, challenges and blessings ahead. I look forward to welcoming them in to our big family. It will be a priviledge associating & singing with them. Every January a new class reminds me that the circle of life in the Choir continues to turn. and my time is "hastening on", and will come to an end. (Hopefully I can still serve the remaining years until I turn the dreaded cutoff age of 60) 🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵 I thank my Heavenly Parents for the gift of life - which is so short!! - and for allowing me to have the opportunity to answer a call to sing praises week after week after week. Its impossible to put into words what its been like to serve the Lord as a musical missionary for 11 years. Exciting. Exhausting. Beautiful. Demanding. Priceless. 🎵🎶🎶🎶🎵🎶🎶🎵 "Members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir are not superhuman. They are ordinary people with ordinary frailties. But, therein lies the power of their example. They believe this promise from the Lord: “Because thou hast seen thy weakness, thou shalt be made strong.” (D&C 135:5.)" - Russell M. Nelson (Oct. 1991)
