Happy #valentines day to each of you! ❤ Today is for everybody! Because love extends far beyond romance. This day is an opportunity to celebrate and share kindness, tenderness, devotion, selflessness, caring and service. ❤ Love is a feeling of deep devotion, concern, and affection. The greatest example of God’s love for His children is found in the infinite Atonement of Jesus Christ. Love for God and fellow men is a characteristic of disciples of Jesus Christ. ❤ “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” ❤ Love for God and fellowmen is a characteristic of disciples of Jesus Christ. ❤ "In today’s world of so much suffering because of different circumstances, sending a text message with a funny emoji or posting a nice picture with the words “I love you” is good and valuable. But what many of us need to do is leave our mobile devices behind and, with our hands and feet, help others in great need. Love without service is like faith without works; it’s dead indeed." - Elder Jose L. Alonso ❤ What is something you can do today to show Christlike live, and serve another person?
Here is #wisdom - Do you ever feel overwhelmed with all of the trouble and heartache in this world? I find that I really struggle with wondering what I can do - as one small person in the vast ocean of humanity - to make a positive difference. I was inspired today by this quote attributed to the #Talmud which instructs us how to live in the moment and contribute to the well-being of the world. "Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world's grief. Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly, now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it."
Whatever your unique challenge, you've got this! You are #unstoppable! Believe in yourself. Believe in heavenly help. You are not going through this alone! God is real. Your heavenly parents and loved ones and angels on the other side are rooting for you! 🎶❤🎶 Here’s a little song to help you get along. It will see you through when you’re feeling blue. And though it’s not profound when you’re feeling down, so down, Sing this little tune, and you’ll feel better soon. You’re not alone, even when you’re feeling on your own, You are loved in ways that can’t be shown; your needs are known; You’re not alone. And when you cry, you’re just letting go of heartache deep inside, And tomorrow there’ll be sunshine and sky and love close by; You’re not alone. And we know that it’s not easy, but we know that it won’t last, ’cause one that loves you more than me is sending blessings fast. You’re not alone, say it one more time, “I’m not alone,” And even when it’s hard to find the words, our prayers are heard; We’re not alone. You’re not alone. - music & lyrics by Michael McLean 🎶❤🎶

Congratulations to @encircletogether for their fab new #slc home! 🏳️‍🌈 A fantastic open house turnout tonight! #encircletogether What a blessing this resouce is for our community, the many hearts they touch and the lives that they save. ❤ I am forever blessed by the associations and friends I have made since becoming an ally for our LGBTQI+ brothers and sisters. 💕🏳️‍🌈💕 “As a church, nobody should be more loving and compassionate. Let us be at the forefront in terms of expressing love, compassion and outreach.” – Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (MormonandGay.LDS.org) 💕🏳️‍🌈💕 “This [LGBT rights] movement arose after centuries of ridicule, persecution and even violence against homosexuals. Ultimately, most of society recognized that such treatment was simply wrong, and that such basic human rights as securing a job or a place to live should not depend on a person’s sexual orientation. […] God is loving and merciful. His heart reaches out to all of His children equally and He expects us to treat each other with love and fairness.” — Sister Neill Marriott Second Counselor in the Young Women General Presidency and member of the LDS Church’s Public Affairs Committee 💕🏳️‍🌈💕
Yesterday was the first historic night sisters in the #TabChoir organization joined with other LDS sister missionaries and can now wear [dressy] pants. 🎉🎈🎉 #freetochoose #someexceptions #fromsmallandsimplecomegreatthings #NewEra This was personally one of the most physically comfortable rehearsals I've had in 11 years. It also makes it much easier to arrive straight from my office job. So, I am very appreciative of this policy revision. I am grateful for the opportunity for more wardrobe choices while serving as a Musical Missionary. 👍 "Sister missionaries serving for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints now have the option to wear pants during regular missionary activities..." 💫 "The First Presidency updated the missionary dress and grooming guidelines for sister missionaries in a letter sent to local Church leaders dated December 20, 2018. Sister missionaries should continue to wear dresses or skirts when attending the temple and during Sunday worship services." 💫 "The adjustment to dress standards, which takes effect immediately, was approved by the First Presidency." 💫 “Adjustments to the missionary dress and grooming standards have changed over time since the beginning of the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ in 1830 and will continue to do so in the future,” said Elder Uchtdorf. “As we adapt these standards, we always carefully consider the dignity of the missionary calling to represent Jesus Christ; the safety, security, and health of our beloved missionaries; and the cultural sensitivities of the places where they serve.” 💫 “This is truly optional...The sisters can wear dresses, they can wear slacks, whatever will help them in their service as they’re out amongst the people.” 💫 - excerpts from lds.org, 20 Dec. 2018 https://www.lds.org/church/news/all-sister-missionaries-now-have-option-of-wearing-slacks?lang=eng
